Mainly ones like this seem more 'if one has it, the other has to' than 'using canon for one also supports the other' to me.

yes i stand by this quote.

the reasoning put forth from the camp that supports volley fire for the akira is:
in canon the akira fires volleys of 6, therefore to be realistic to canon the in game akira should fire volleys of 6.

well the intrepid also fires these volleys, therefore if the akira deserves 6 torp volleys based solely on that being realistic to canon, then the intrepid does as well, for the same reason.

i dont want either to be firing volleys. as gameplay trumps canon.

Well what if the different avatars had Akiras with different load outs?

Risner: Akira with current single shot.
          Excelsior II current volley quantum's

Mayson: Akira with volley torpedoes
            Excelsior II with single shot quantums

This way Risner still gets powerful battleships, and mayson has a more powerful lower tier Akira. So that it doesn't become clustered with torps the E2 has a change to her torpedo load out.

I believe this to be a fair compromise.

Well, iam leaning to a Ambassador Class refit, no surprise, but i would really like to see a tricked out Nebula Class also.

The ambassador refit would be awsome, same as a lakota refit for the excelsior.
