(ship)-II,

Which race do you like most? What do you like - what you don't like? Discuss it here.

Not that I think one should be in, but since we seem to have 2 II-line ships, Is there a Constitution-II in the FO universe? Just wondering, because being a war game, we don't get to see what the federation is doing "30 years" after DS9. Ahh, mabey I don't care, I'm just trying to fill up this topic, so it dosen't look stupid :b. Ok, what the federation is doing would be interesting, but you probably haven't thought about that, other than exploring. ANYWAY. That has nothing to do with the part I want to know... is there a Constitution-II. (I'm not one of those people, if there are any, that thinks FO should be a starfleet ship collection. Thanks for enduring this little rant :).)

There may be a Constitution-II, considering the originals legendary status.

Really?

What did the USS Constitution to gain legendary status?  :whistling:

Oh, you mean that other Constitution-class starship... The... Uhhh... What was its name?

Hahaha yeah cant remember its name either. :sweatdrop:

if you want to see what the federation looks like 30 years after nemisis just look at the Ships of the Line from STO.

The only thing is if the Constitution II was made, all the other races need something equivilant to balance numbers.

As I wrote, I don't think we need a constitution II in FO, but is there one? (in FO. :b)

But, if it does, we will clearly need a fusion cube to balace things :D

Probably no one would agree on either of these that I'd like.

Kelvin II Class:

The Saucer would basically be the same, but the turrets are replaced with 3 dorsal phaser strips (stretching all around the saucer) and 2 ventral phaser strips (stretching all around the saucer). The Nacelle (at the bottom for those who get confused) would become a slightly modified version of a Sovy nacelle with a torpedo pod attached to its fore (just infront of the nacelle pylon). The Engineering would be replaced with a Premonition style deflector (the huge thing on top) that has phaser strips travelling along the sides and a large shuttle bay built into it.

Discovery II Class:

Okay, this is a wee bit tricky, but I'm gonna go with an Excelsior-II style saucer. The Nacelles would be shaped like the old Connie refit nacelles except it be given 24-th century bussards along the sides and there the whole exterior side would be the intercooler strip and at the end would basically be a little cap with some large thrusters on the inner side. And I think it is pretty much good.

I like the (Mk II's) already present in the mod but I believe if executed right most of those suggestions could be quite nice.

Personally I don't think you can get too much better than a Kelvin MK-II like how I described.

But I wouldn't mind if a modeler would try to take a crack at it. Someday it deserves being in FO.

Umm correct me if i'm wrong but there is a constitution II class. And it's the Enterprise A from TMP Era. The original constitution being the TOS era Enterprise, the one with the Direct TV deflector dish.

I thought that was just a refit? Anyway i think a Constitution mk 2 would be cool. And very fitting

I thought it was a refit also, but I also read somewhere that wasn't the case. Sadly I don't remember where I saw this. But I think it was one of the Star Trek technical manuals.... Does anyone know for sure?

The Constitution is generally considered a Refit, just check Memory Alpha. Going by looks alone, you'd think it was more like the Miranda/Excelsior II...

Constitution Class

2 choices i can see.

1. Either it was built from scratch as a refit constituion, because it obviously is the same class as the original Enterprise. So it is not a Constitution II.

2. It was an original Constitution that was refitted and then renamed Enterprise, like the new defiant.
