Hey,

I just had a little thought. The USS Enterprise-J was in active service in the 26th century, meaning that Starfleet would have gone through around 6 starships named Enterprise, assuming that the E continues service for a fair amount of time yet. Is the Enterprise E going to be destroyed in FO's campaign? making way for a new developer ship, named Enterprise-F?

That would be cool...

Well, they seem to destroy one of them every 30-50 years, so... interesting idea  ^-^

I don't think the J's timeline was the standard one...

Yeah... NEW ENTERPRISE!

The E isn't gonna die after a mere 50 years... Picard is probably still in command (DS9's new 2nd in command in post-Dominion War novels is over 100, I think, and still in active service so I'm sure Picard can last that long) and won't be losing the big E so soon.

It's a temporal effect, just depends how you perceive the timeline really

But I think it would be awesome, if the developers were to come up with a new starship named Enterprise, maybe destroying the E at the start of the campaign, could effectively start the campaign?...

E.g, the Cardassians raid Starbase(number) destroying the Enterprise E in the process, however, the crew was primarily on board the Starbase, except say, Crusher. Investigation is launched, thus starting the campaign.

Thats just off the top of my head, so don't expect it too make sense

Not destruction. In the (unlikely) event that it is replaced, it should be decomissioned prior to the game. Seriously, compare the number of dead Enterprises to the number of decomissioned ones...

That's true, I didn't think about that thoroughly  :sweatdrop:

The only time it was seen was during the War with the Sphere Builders... the fact that that war was erased and won't happen hints that it's timeline was a different one.

1701 - Destroyed
1701-A - Decomissioned
1701-B - Unknown, lack of information
1701-C - Destroyed
1701-D - Destroyed, in a rather embarassing way
1701-E - Active (as of Nemesis)

3 destroyed, 1 decomissioned, 1 unknown, 1 active. Slightly unbalanced towards destruction...

It's likely that B was mothballed as C was produced...

It's probably sitting somewhere in the Galaxy right now, unless it was used in the Dominion war of course  ^-^

Maybe... or it could have been blown-up, gone missing, been renamed, ect. This show leaves too much information to speculation sometimes...
