A Proteus Class starship for the current version of FO. Uses the converted model by dEjavU, but the textures are a mix of the original by WileyCoyote and the A2 version by dEjavU.

It comes with 2 possible uses, only one of which can be used at a time:
Buildable: Mayson version has Multi-Layer Shields and gains Proximity Torpedoes on rank-up, Risner version has Type-3 Torpedoes & a basic Magnan Phaser Cannon.
Warp-In: Risner-exclusive, replaces the Descent and has Type-3 Torpedoes & a basic Magnan Phaser Cannon.

Vessel Download: Proteus Class (FO 3.1.5).zip File size: 6.05 MB.

A small patch is attached to the post that fixes a cost issue (it had none and cost supply when dead like a Warp-In).

It does have glows, that came from the BC download since most textures are from that version. I only used that image because attachments don't work and I couldn't show an ingame one.

Ah, interesting.  I didn't realize BC ships already had glows.

The A2 download came with a stock (glowless) and FO (glows) version. I used the latter, since it would fit in with the rest of the game better. I meant the image came from the BC version.

Ah, thats right, because Dejavu did it.  I forgot.  He's the one who basically taught me how to do glows. :D

A small patch has been attached to the original post that fixes a cost issue in the buildable version, namely that it was entirely free and cost supply when it died like a Warp-In.

Okay, so i've downloaded this and now the game won't load. What's the most likely thing I've done? lol.

*head bangs on table*. Just can't do all this code stuff.

By 'won't start up', I assume you mean the game itself rather than a match? If that, then check the tooltips (Dynamic_Localized_Strings) and make sure there are no extra or missing quotation marks. Compare it to a stock FO tooltip to make sure.

Cheers. There was an extra ' " ' that I must have missed.

Although the ship still won't build in game. LOL. But I tried! :D

Love the ship, its quickly becoming one of my favorites. I always thought SF was lacking in capital type ships. One problem though; I can't get it to build in standard tech. I know it needs chassis upgrades, but even when I do the upgrades, I still can't build it. It builds fine in free tech however. Any idea whats wrong?
Also, how can I change the build order when I click on a shipyard? Right now the Proteus is at the end, past the cancel button. I'd like to change it so that all my ships build buttons are right in a row. How can I do this?
Again, thanks for the ship!

Did you put it in the right yard? There's a ship for both avatars. If the ship's in the wrong yard, it'll look for the wrong stuff; like the Risner player needing Mason research to get the Mayson ship.

The builditemX is the order, the ship needs to be between the other ships and the "all_halt" at the end.
