Sigma 2.1 is now available for download at ModDB: Sigma mod for Star Trek: Armada II - Mod DB
as well as the 2.1.1 hotfix: Sigma 2.1.1 Patch download - Mod DB
It should also be on MSFC shortly, and sometime in the next month or so at A2files.

I'm hoping with this version more players will be brought in for online matches and maybe they'll become more of a regular occurrence. With things such as Mixed Tech finally introduced and an all time low bug count, maybe the number of players will grow.  :borg:

Much thanks to the FO Devs for the inclusion of the Mod Manager. It's been one of the single best features introduced in Fleet Ops now that it's working fine.

Very cool!
I had noticed Sigma before you even had a public release and I already was very interested.
It has everything I expected to have and more.

I really like the ship designs, they are very unique.
The only issues I had with the game is the movement of the larger ships.
I didn't count during my base build that the larger ships would be that much larger.

When I summoned the Matriach I enabled the use of her special. Big Mistake!
My own fleet got blasted away, the Matriach ship was damaged near her own destruction.
I tried to repair her, but after 20 minutes of helping her to be able to reach a shipyard (and still fail) I gave up and tried to attack, leading to her destruction.

Also is it intended that the hero ship gains experience this fast?
After destroying her first ship she already leveled. I guess about 10 ships already on veteran level.

Keep up the good work, you just got a new loyal follower!

did you fix the graphic issue where only 3 avatars showed instead of the 4 avatars?  :woot:

Cool... try that out asap.

@Krael
Yeah the huge ships can be a fuss to move around at times. I personally think ever since the Devs put the map height back into FO that it's been much easier except for the Matriarch's big honking dreadnaught. She's just stubborn I guess  :lol:. The rapid level up for hero ships might be a bug. I'll look into it.

@Arash8472
Sadly I don't have a screen that supports that really high resolution that the avatar selection bug happens on so I'm not able to test it out.  :sweatdrop:

I didn't know there were 4 avatars. I only saw 3 on resolution 1366x768.
Hope that helps.

Can we submit bugs here? Not to stand on the awesomeness that is this mod.

The setting page has got all the older A2 stuff in the settings menu:
Species Mothership Movement enabled
Species Mothership Auto
Warp enabled
Random map disabled

Random map crashes when used, obviously because it hasn't been fixed in FO yet.

random map only works with stock armada 2 as everything that random map generator does is working with hardcoded odfs.. :P
this and other settings can all be disabled through rts_cfg.h file

nice work on the updated sigma! will download it when i get home :)

w00t! Finally!

Yeah, it'll be available at MSFC asap, I'll make that sure. Same for A2F, though the server is still heavily borked.  :ermm:

Indeed. Awesome for playing games on, you should try it.

Yeah... for now I suggest playing as resolutions no larger then 1280 x 1024.  :sweatdrop:
After testing it on my friend's comp with a 1920 x 1080 resolution it seems any resolution larger then 1280 x 1024 obscures the fourth avatar for each race when you select it. I'll have to look into that and fix it in a patch soon. I'll also get rid of the old A2 options, must have accidentally forgot to get rid of them in the rts_cfg.
