Cool, in terms of gameplay. But otherwise, yeah... No offense, but all of us have our opinions.

Next up, Mylock, then Ekoset from the pattern that I've observed.

So with the official discontinuing of v4 on the Armada II engine, which I believe Sigma was waiting on, what will be the future of this much-anticipated mod?

I've been trying to get in contact with one of the devs after the NX announcement to ask if I can just include an installer for a dev build of FO with Sigma. Doca, Dom, or Optec if you see this post let me know if you are ok with it.

After that release though Sigma will also be going to a different engine. I'm not sure if it will go to NX though, that all depends on how long it takes for NX to finish and if the engine itself can be used for commercial games (I'm guessing the Devs are sticking to their non commercial mentality). If not, Sigma will be created by http://subsciencestudios.com/ , a game development company I currently work for using Unity.

NX itself can be used to make commercial games, the reason it can't be used for flops in that sense and must be free is because they have no right to the Star Trek license and would be sued

I got confirmation that the NX engine will not support commercial games, so it looks like Sigma will be going to Unity. As for releasing a final version I can't release a dev build of Fleet Ops, so I'll need to figure out what to do about that.

Very sorry to hear that. Good luck with the move to Unity.

I'll probably release a final version of Sigma later this week, a few features probably just won't work properly without me releasing a dev build.

Hey there!

I recently ran into something I want to do with Tryptic's Mod, and I'm currently downloading Sigma because I suspect the answer is in there. Unfortunately it's a 1.1GB download going at 200KB/s so it could be a while.

I wonder if you can help me with this. I want to create a refits menu that will appear for ships able to be refitted, and put their refit abilities under this menu so it isn't cluttering up the UI normally. Have you done this sort of thing in Sigma?

In a much older version I did something like that using the method that the Borg use to create ships. As you might imagine the number of odf's was pretty huge so I ended up doing something more like the Generix refits.

Alright, I've got it downloaded and about to look through the code. All I really need though, is the ability to make a new menu like the build menu or orders menu. Is this pretty simple to do?

I'm having trouble installing the Mod. Does the installer need to be pointed to a working Fleet Ops installation? And if so, what version does it need to be?

I tried copying my 3.2.7 and installing Sigma into its directory, but Sigma seems to want Fleet Ops 4.0

Could you put up a simple installation guide, just a few steps to get me started?

It should only need 3.2.7 to run. I've not been anywhere near Fleet Ops in over 2 years so my memory is extremely fuzzy on this.
