Take a Chance with the Sigma Mod

looking nice with the ekoset, little advice, there are many images now and they are taking a long time to load probably due to several factors, 1 they are big, 2 they are hosted on msfc (i'm assuming that's either hosted with its owner down under or doesn't have huge bandwidth).
maybe you could host the images on something like photobucket, the page takes around 45 seconds to load (on my fast computer with around 15Mb/s practical bandwidth) each time an image higher up the page loads it pushes the entire page down, meaning the page is almost unusable until they are all done.

New music and whatnot:
I'll host them elsewhere. It would be handy if there was a 'Spoiler' option like on most websites, where it puts images and text in a tab that you can open or close.

I sort of went all out crazy with wildlife this weekend, and probably made what is shaping up to be one of my favorite maps. I just need to make a nice new background for it.
(I apologize is these slow down the page, a Spoiler Tag feature would be very, very handy since they seem to be on most forums now).

if you want to avoid slowing down the page with large images then maybe you could host a second copy of each image which is jpg and small (like 200x200) and put url links around that to the full size image, then the main image would only load when people click on the thumbnail. and it would open in a new tab/window.
eg:
[nobbc]
[url=http://][img]http://[/img][/url]
[/nobbc]
eg:
[nobbc]
[url=http://][img]http://[/img][/url]
[/nobbc]

That's exactly how my images are set up.

I checked, it's different. you are using the full image link inside the img tags (and for the url target). even though you're using the width attribute, the full image is still being loaded every time.
You'll need to host two copies of the image to what I described, which is a really ghetto workaround. The main copy will be full size (as currently hosted on msfc is fine), the second copy will be reduced to 200 width (height determined by aspect ratio) and can also be hosted on msfc if maj doesn't kill you for hosting near duplicates, you can always host the small copy on imageshack/photobucket.
eg use this code:
[nobbc]
[/nobbc]
to get the following:
I downloaded the image, resized it using paint.net and hosted the thumb on imageshack. i used that imageshack thumb inside the img tags and the msfc link (for the full size image) as the url target.
that way when the page loads, it only downloads the small thumb.

Background montage that will display behind the main menu of Sigma, should displaying videos behind the main menu ever be implemented in FO.

Some screenshots of the new race I've been working on. I'll probably have a detailed PDF with background information and all of their units so the mystery behind them won't last much longer.

Very nice, I like the contrast between the yellow/orange and dark. I look forward to the PDF.

Very good and beautiful screen shots.
This mod is coming with version 3.2.7. or you'll wait for 4.0.0?

It will likely release when 4.0 is out as it uses some 4.0 features not in 3.2.7.

very impressive and creative work as always! I especially like the work on the organic-looking fibers!

Indeed, very creative. Almost reminds me of like some kind of Elven/Species 8472 hybrid
