Is there a way news can be posted at a faster rate. I think it would be cool if you guys ( team ) would keep us to date with the things you change and maybe even somehow give us info on what you plan to change for the next news update. Just a thought ...

There is the project progress updater...  :sweatdrop:

Keep in mind, 3.0 came out with very little warning... so just sit back, relax, and prepare to be wowed when the time comes...

I thought we were getting this in 2 weeks since the launch of this thread
that was 4-5 weeks ago  :innocent:

I hope the long duration of assembling 3.0.2 also arises from solving the crashes on long term games, that several users suffer from. :sweatdrop:

i would rather wait for the patch that fixes the bugs then get a patch that just rises the version number. 'Patience is a virtue' ... or 'Virtue is a patience' ... or something, just wait, it'll be released when it's done.

Long duration of assembling 3.0.2?

Didn't the team say that 3.0.2 was more than just a bug-fix-patch, that it was also a CONTENT PACK? In which case, it's going to take more than just a couple of days to do.

Be patient =)

Your already impatient after a month lol.

Some of us like me, Barron, Redmanmark and Rhaz have gone through periods of waiting years lol

Sorry, I didn't recognize that. Currently I love the game to be as it is, concerning it's "content". The balancing and the features of the races are really great. I appreciate every improvement, but I don't need them urgently. On the other hand there's the fact that I can't finish hardly any game. Thus I'd prefer a bugfix to a content-extension and hope it'll be released even before 3.0.2. Patience is a high virtue these days. "Grass doesn't grow faster, when you give it a tug." ATM if I build some stations/turrets near wormholes, they don't defend themselves every time. If many waves of attacking vessels come in, they stop firing at ships, that came in earlier, if all of the later arrived ships have been destroyed. or so. Anyone else had this problem? Already known? Question would be, weather you will fix this with 3.02?

that would be cool, also the other races all have an artillery unit, why not give the federation a permanent one? I like the steam runner, but I have a feeling it would be spammed in online gaming since it is such a beastly ship. I understand that the Intrepid class is supposed to fill that role but you have one shot with it before you need to recharge...

The steamrunner can't be built; it only comes via warp-in.  Though technically I suppose you could amass a large fleet of them by decommissioning non-steamrunners and getting the steamrunners themselves to officer rank, but that would still most likely take a long time.  The most I've seen is 5, and that's really rare (and deadly).

@ Owlde grer: please post a new topic or check for a relevant old topic :)

By the way the other factions do not all have an artillery unit - neither Borg nor Dominion have an artillery unit, and Martok Klingons do not have an artillery unit either. Only Romulans (Serkas), Federation (Steamrunner), and TaQ'roja Klingons (Veqlaragh) gain access to artillery units.

You forgot Dominion Hyoerspace Artillery, though that barely counts.  And Officer-rank Excel-II.  I'd certainly class them as Artillery.
