Is it possible to get a recent version of the modding tool?
Is this tool able to allow scripting in MP maps or only SP maps?

Theoretically, both single player and multi-player.  But there are bugs present in the current version that cause out-of-sync errors when placing an object in an online game.  Plus, I don't think it supports team-specific objectives yet.

Megadroid's naturally better at answering these things, but it does work for both single and multiplayer maps. It's still in the early phases and not user friendly if you don't know lua script, but I have a feeling megadroid and the devs will probably change that down the road.

As far as I know it's the only tool that can make missions. I've used it to make the first two missions for my mod.

We'll have to experiment with the MP stuff. Theoretically, it should be possible, though I'm not sure about the data that two connected A2s exchange. I think it could be done, but the implementation could be nasty.  :sweatdrop:

Also, there's supposedly a new release coming soon, but I haven't seen Chris online for weeks.

Not dead

Edit - to be slightly more informative : Am just getting back on track with things. Also multiplayer is possible, but synchronisation is tricky. You would have to work based on the game timer at the minute.

That is fine. I think it worked similar in SC1 where you could define complex conditions.

I am pleased and delighted to see this is still going! Just D/L'd the zip attached to Post #1. This is something I've wanted for yers and years and I have some ideas about a mission or two with some maps I made.

Wow, that zip is pretty old now. Everything is much better now. Anyway I'm going to work on MMM this weekend and try and get the new version out, provided nothing else gets in the way.

It feels like just yesterday when even the idea of creating a fully-custom campaign for A2 was absurd and a fool's task. I can't wait to see what people do with this.

I'm looking forward to a more polished version.
