Well, I'd put the average intelligence of this community as being on-par with the average intelligence of the EVE forum community!
Never played EVE nor have i visited their forum, but I'll go out on a limb and assume that that's an insult to us all.

Trolls and asshats aside, I'd rate the EVE community to be probably the smartest I've run across.

trek fans need the trek.. and i enjoyed voyager(even tho some of it was bad. but all series' had some bad stuff just like any franchise i supose), enterprise was ok tho i didnt see that much of it
saying that, can riker hold his own show compared to picard?
depends on who they could get to write it, and what actors could be in it (riker and troi are suposed to be there. whole new set could be there to star a fresh)
im not sure if it will go anywhere but im interested to see how far it goes

The possible producers however will not make a show based on such a gamble. The last movie of the TNG-franchise and the last official show were failures in terms of profit. Making movies and TV-shows is a business. If they see no profit coming from it in return, they won't make it.
There's a much higher possibility that a show based on Abrams' new Trek would make it to the TV than anything else. If Abrams would seriously consider it or not probably depends on the success of the next movie and the question if the cast would like to do it.

the makers of titan decided to talk to paramount and the said that they want an audience first and if that page altogether gets 1,000,000 likes they will fund the show

Likes on facebook are no valid evidence for an audience at all. If that's not a myth, Paramount must have become insane.
There will be so many people who just "like" it because a friend did so or because they're nicely asked or because they're drunk, and in the end there might be a few hundred thousands who actually watch the show. In that case Paramount would cancel the show after one or two seasons because they spend more money on making the show than they earn for it.

trouble is i dont know if these big Hollywood stars would want to do a tv series now they are in films.
all the tv shows started with unknowns pretty much, then when it came to the movies they were like , 'hell yes'. going the other way round im skeptical of. iirc the cast were contracted for 4 films if the company want to make that many (hopefully)

but if you think about it people would know it is there and will be on tv so if your a fan of star trek you would watch it and even if it only lasts for 2-3 series that's better than nothing
