you dont need to priority repair on the towed ship, only normal repair. and you dont give the constructor the repair order, you just move it close to the repair facility (with the damaged ship in tow of course)

Either way works...
If you do it my way you dont have to screw around with the constructor, it gets the damaged ship into position on its own.

lol but it goes through repairs when it doesnt need to. which can delay other ships repairing. and in this patch there is a bug where the repair queue gets longer and longer which might interfere with your method.

My question is ray, why didnt you build some BORTAS!!!!? Even better a Moqbara! Trust me, he would have been dead in no time.

i think he was running out of res lol. several times yandon focussed on his yard and it wasnt producing but had a ship queued. on such a small map with only 3 complete moon pairs that game was very long and im surprised it made it to late game ships.

I dunno if you had it won quite so handily, Ray.

You had a lot of control there for a long period of time, but I also out-resourced you for much of the game as well.  Your Veterans (which you got remarkably fast) kept you on top in each engagement.  I was not aware that you had 4 vet KBQ until after the game :D.  That's why I couldn't kill those lone Kvort/KBQ that snuck off.

Anyway, you just kept running yourself into my turrets and letting ships die.  I was able to rebuild quickly and replenish, but sadly I really did underestimate how many powerful vets you had.

@ The Repair Thing:  Trust me when I say that I tried everything.  It just wouldn't work.  I tried putting it in front, hitting force repair, repair, and it didn't want to.  Don't know what to say about that :D.

@ The Shield Reset:  I know it didn't trigger because I had it selected and it's cooldown hadn't gone off.  I was clicking like mad to make it do so and it just wouldn't.  Dom mentioned weapons but I am pretty sure I was hitting it before the weapons were damaged.  Oh well ...

At 3:55 you can see that the weapons and other subsystems are disabled.

i just finished watching that replay :D was nice. tho i always root for the underdog. i think beat2k10 lost because he didnt micro very well and he should have just produced intrepid and akira to counter borg

yep I realized that these Fed ships own Assims very fast. Btw. Yandon that one Assim was no Autoassim. It was a Torpedo ship ripping Expansions and Warpins :)

man, that game was painfull to watch,

As being what i would consider, an okay player of borg, and recently learning the federation, to where im competent with it, it was just painful to watch.

That game was pretty much decided in the battle with the sphere and diamond.  Drr already had the resource advantage, but that one battle coulda turned everything around, and even if he hadnt neccesarily won the battle and killed his base, beat coulda expanded and got another fleet up.

All he needed to do was kill that sphere, as a borg player, I can not stress enough, if youve got a borg ship down to 7 percent, especially a sphere regen, you finish it off no matter, what, and as you saw even after the sphere left, there were some other ships he coulda killed.

Like i said even if he only had those 4 remaining ships, he coulda gotten the sphere dodec and the diamond, you need to finish the kill run after them, this happened earlier in the game, finish borg ships off.

Killing a borg ship is different then killing a brel, think of it like this.

kills:

borg: 1/5

feds: 1/20

if a fed ship dies whatever, they still have 95% fleet strength if a borg ship dies, then only have 80% now those arnt the exact values, but that is the price you pay, borg ships if they get down around 15 percent finish them off at all costs, especially regen spheres, cus those will just go away, and regen as special energy comes back quickly

also, beat repair your ships man, you need to micro that a little better, i mean ive played with you a few times and we had some great 3v3 victories, but you need to work on that micro

otherwise good game all, looked fun,

To be true, the game was decided once i could expand without any much resistance. I had so many resources, I could have easily build a mass of probes or scubes or whatever.

But one thing I am really thinking of is, WHY should I build any auto assim ships? I mean they are really really weak and take out 2 smaller ships in a battle maybe. A tropedo Assim or beam Assim on the other hand does way way more damage.  The admins should really think about changing this auto assim a bit because at least I only use it for fun, but not to win a game.

Auto-Assim Assimilators are not your frontline vessels like they would be with combat-mods.  If you get Auto-assims then they should stay in the back and start stripping the lowest crewed vessels while your probes / Scubes (which you stopped building) get in their and draw firepower.

The Assimilate avatar is extremely powerful right now because of how sturdy the Assimilators are even on full assimilate.  You had their special weapons on high autonomy and thus wasted energy assiimating mining ships and stations when you should have been focusing on the intrepids for the most part.

  :)
