We gotta start making some to have some... only a few exist so far as I know. If more people play with me and agree to have a series of games with FRAPS on, then I think we can get some good quality replays up :D

You willing to take some videos tomorrow of some player vs player action? :)

sure - what time? (PST)

Perhaps around 4pm PST (I assume it is about 7 pm for you right now, which is 10 pm for me)? Depends on whether you want to do the playing, or strictly record games as well :)

Oh, i'm like nasty sick so my playing would be crap. And I want to try out the observer thing as those make more compelling videos (being able to see both players).

Dominus_Noctus (Klingon) vs Mort (Klingon)  10-16-09

A very enlightening match using Klingons, at least for me. Use of the K’beajQ and K’t’inga class vessels was instructive. K'Vort veteran abilities made a showing, in a significant way, and there is some interesting tactical use of the nebulae.

Lack of music and commentary do make the sound aspect of this video kind of bland and I'm still violating youtube etiquette by having the gray bars on the side, but I'm looking into fixing those.

Comments, feedback, critique all welcome. Enjoy!

Turned into quite the long game :)

I believe Mort was Martok, and I was TaQ'roja. Some excellent usage of K'beajQ by Mort :)

Watch my wonderful tactical blunders  :pinch:

Lack of music?

How come? Don't you have the multimedia pack installed? or forgot to activate the music?

It's quite nice to play as Klingon and get the Battle Hymn as background music.

I'm generally *not* a mod person (basically don't trust mod authors and I can't stand lack of quality or polish in games), so adding another "mod" (via the media pack) is something that I'm probably not going to do. Unless the FleetOps staff publishes it. Then, maybe.

(actually this is the first mod I've ever used... )

I thought the multimedia pack was done by the Fleet Ops staff? Did I misunderstand something?

No recording for the FFA?

Hmm... so it is  ^-^
Guess I'll give it a try...

I'm in the process of publishing and uploading the FFA game videos now. For every 10 mins of footage, it's averaging me about 90 mins before it makes it up on YouTube (30 mins for Win Movie Maker to process and 60 mins to upload).

AFAIK, the Multimedia Pack IS part of the Official release of Fleet Ops.

But as it's big, and not essential to gameplay, they made your choice to use it or not, instead of putting it together with the whole thing. There are a lot of people that dislike playing with music enabled, so it's sensible that only the people that want background music download it.

If it's not done by the devs, it sure looks like endorsed by them. The multimedia pack and DN's guide to playing FO are the only other things available in the "Downloads" section of this site.
