The names are not too Klingon :) We wont have a USS Killhouse or a USS Slaughter

The first Okinawa Class starship that appears more prominent in the FO storyline should be the USS Vanguard. Commanded by a Starfleet captain, but almost half of the crew belong to the Klingon Empire, she participated in two of the most important battles during the phase of "Klingon Destabilization", when the empire was thrown into internal affairs. Among a few other Starfleet vessels, the USS Vanguard was responsible for the Federation being dragged into the conflict, too.

The "USS 9/11" is still the worst starship name I've seen outside of a fanfic, at least when rendered entirely in numbers.

:yucky:  thats not cool.

"9/11" is a horrible, terrible name for a starship.  Maybe the "11th of September", but no way in hell the "9/11".

How does 9/11 count as 'barely a battle', though? Terrorist attacks aren't battles. If they ever gave something a name relating to that, it would probably be named after the towers (related, but not as sore a subject).

9/11 just seems wrong as a starship name... probably only the pre-War Cardassians would consider something like it viable.

hm, gues before you see a ship with that name, you gonna see a ship named "wolf359" or Chin'toka ...
still, all of those are bad names

Tyler wrote:The Roosevelts registry is NCC-2573 in the encyclopedia, but that's the only one I can find.

The Sabre/Saber name has no concensus anywhere, canon or otherwise. They're the same word and it depends on the person. Regardless, the class is pretty old and the prototype may not be in service anymore, which would make the name free, however it's spelt.

Ok... changes made.

Those registries are a little suspect... probably got a while yet before Starfleet moves onto 6 digits. There are about 25,000 higher than Voyager and Defiant.

Put some effort into that, I see.

not to nitpick but i would think any names dealing with deities would be reserved for Prometheus class ships which i understand are still around in the FO universe just not in game till the MVAM is figured out  (personally just leave the ship whole balance out its weapons and strengths and put it in please)

Awesome looking ship, I like it!

I'm still waiting for the "USS Fuzzy Wuzzy" to pop out of a shipyard, but alas it wasn't meant to be.

How about the "USS Chuck Norris"?

Or the "USS Not A Spaceship"?

I better stop now, I could go on for pages.

Some of your ship names are already taken by Canon Star Trek. USS Titan, is for sure, USS Sabre can't be used because that is the name sake to the Sabre-class. Then USS Vanguard cannot be used either if your to stick to canon because that is the name to Starbase 47, AKA Vanguard, its a Watchtower-class Station in the Taurus Reach. True some of these names come from books but true they are actaul canon too. Also the name sake to any class of vessel carries the prefix "NX", so the correct registry would be USS Okinawa NX 100200.

as fleetops does not consider books cannon the titan novels are not in play so the Titan could be used as a ship name though personally id apply it to a Prometheus or Sovie class ship I cant see anything but a larger powerful ship getting the name  Titan  furthermore if a Class leader ship (Sabre) is destroyed its name could be giving to a different class ship even if the namesake class is still in use  we could see a Sovie  Galaxy if the Galaxy class Galaxy was destroyed

The USS Titan was mentioned in Star Trek Nemesis at the end so it is canon actually.

BUT they never said what CLASS it was they just said USS Titan so really for all we know it could be a bloody Excelsior class  lol that would be funny though seeing Riker commanding an Excelsior when he was first officer of a Sovie :p
