Very pretty! That's a pretty neat service; how'd you learn the nacelles were so fragile? :shifty:

im not gonna lie ive got a thing for miniture spaceship models (yes even at 25, ive got a box of them, I find their good for the imagination and focus the brain lol)

Can't wait until 3d resin printing  become more mainstream.

Thanks for documenting the model process, Its extremely interesting

yeah zeich, we like to hear stuff that gives us an insight into how we get stuff.

A few years back I had access to a 3D printer which produced similar magic to those models, for free. I always wanted to use the wax resin printer though :D. Solid resin instead of fragile sandstone-esque stuff. Unfortunately it was about 10x more expensive.

I like this ship a lot. I always request one now, just because of the way it looks :)

Hehe, I am not sure I am going to paint it.  The sandstone would require a primer to paint it and I don't think that I am that great of a painter.  I would not want to ruin it.  If I do paint it, I will keep you up to date.

The website I used has a wide variety of materials, including ones that actually let you print in color.  However each material has it's own minimum thickness and strength.  In order to print my Teutoburg in color it would require for me to print the model about 3 times larger.  The pylons on the current version that is printed are .7 mm thick, the thinnest it could be.  So since the nacells are solid, the pylons are pretty weak to support them.

.7 mm?!?!?  Surely you mean cm? :o

Yes, you are right, I meant .7 cm.
