I can switch to Rhienns...result is the same...

  Rhienn's have a counter in every race.  Specs don't .

Spectres are M size, medium range, Pulse and Beam and are slow...the only advantage is the torp dmg reduction. Rhienns are S size, LR, Pulse and Beam, are faster and they get a special weapon.

And its not like I spam Spectres all the time...in most cases you will see Frigates, Spectres and Supports in the mix...three ships. Anyway...pw/invite games seem to work quite well for me...eventhough it takes time to get the ppl.

ok Drr... how about you be feds, and spam intrepids, while I be roms and spam spectures... then switch to supports... then spam frigates...

dont spam frigates against feds, they have few pulse armed ships and most players pick mayson, and under mayson, most antares yard ships will have defence >20 and frigate will only do base damage to them.

infact spam only the spectres, as their torp reduction will protect them from the fed's large torp damage.

supports are rarely a bad idea so definitely build 6 of them for their specials.

in this case if your enemy will only spam intrepids, then you should spam leahvals at first, then make all 6 support refits, as these munch on ADAI intreps. even more, the leahval's level 1 special (meta disruptor) will kill the speedy intreps before they can escape and repair.

No, not really, you'll be seeing your economy go out the window. I skip those things because they are so dang expensive to refit, and the unrefitted ones are out of my taste.

unrefitted rhienns are awesome too, activate phase plates and 80% of damage from short range targets disappears, this works great vs intrep spam.

Its always good to build a few rheins but don't build too many as mijural as supplies are too expensive

If you refer to the Spectres...they are not OP if you mean this...just try some other ship combinations.

none of the gens are seriously op. if your enemy spams frigates then dont build anything weak and pulse armed, if he spams spectres then dont make anything that deals most of its damage via torps. if he spams supports (first 6 gens all supports, its not really spam) RUN dont build anything with ADAI.
