Translation: Lol, any strat that is good
[And by good, I mean involves quickly teching up to battleships by abusing the Dominion's unique tech tree on the largest map that can be found, with a unique function that kills any chance of my opponent microing ships, since they'll target free and easily replaced fighters instead of the vessel I actually bought and can be achieved in the EARLY phase of the game]
is immediatly attacked and chewed out
[and by immediately, I mean has been noticed and discussed, with it becoming clear just how powerful these ships are in comparison with their cost after over a month of observation in game.]

As far as them getting "stomped", that had less to do with the B-5s and more to do with fleets being out of position, as both noted by Dom in game and by Yandonman. The good news will be that the B-5 will get fixed, and fighters won't be targeted first. Hopefully they'll make the cost and build time incresae, as I wouldn't want to see a decrease in it's performance, merely provide ways to slow down any abuse on the Dominion's tech tree.

Funny you should say that ... I actually do! There was that 3v4 that totally threw me as they made some changes really fast and then started and I was totally lost for the first 10 mins.

SUCH a fun game. Thanks so much for recording, yandon!
I think though that in that game your sound was up a little too high
. When you're sick, that's magnified.

A good replay with good comments! But what I do not understand here is, why ppl (especially the bottom team) did not attack even 1 of the side outposts...and especially the rom players should make use of their talons much much more!

Well, they concetrated on eliminating the romulan to the bottom right and borg ekspansions were deeper inside tops team territory, than the romulan base. Also it takes much more time to eliminate borg collectors. Romulans were obviously focusing on getting bigger ships than talons.
But dominion carriers are nasty, so as feds exel2. Me, dominus and funny used things that are overpowered, so we can point fingers who did what and why all the time and blame each other. Next version it will be something else. Its not easy to balance everything.
Plus most romulan ships built had medium range, so this was partially team strategy, to keep fleets grouped, excels stay in the back, although we didnt play much as a team. But it was ok for the first time.
Btw, it was funny how Yandonman got confused sometimes

I was wondering that almost no strategy I have seen so far deals with destroying production facilities for ships. Maybe in one of the next 3on3 games one of the good players could try this kind of strategy?
At least medium range ships should be able to attack a yard without getting too close to the base station I think.

Hmm....
I think that the reason you don't see Yards being destroyed more often is because they require SO much firepower to effectively destroy. During that amount of time you are much more likely to see protective forces intercept and engage you before you finish. Thus it's usually more effective to destroy 1-3 miners and run away before they can engage you.
Another thing: I think once a Very Stable patch comes out where the balance of all the factions is near to complete, we'll see people begin to experiment more and play differently. Right now people tend to play a little conservatively and not risk much because they know a single error can cost them the game.
I have a habit (especially with Klingons) of putting my second 1st lvl yard or first 2nd lvl yard at my expansion. This lets me repair my units closer to the frontlines, but let me tell you ... if a strong force overpowers my expansion, that shipyard is toast. Most people don't do that ... but I live dangerously

Thank you, yandonman, for recording these games and thank you to all the players who agreed to be posted on Youtube.
Incredible game ! Congrats to both players. NuclearDude, you withstanded more that I would, and you would have won that game if you scouted more. Good job, nonetheless.
