lol i only played that map for the first time recently funny enough i played in the same position as u. i memorised the moon positions before the game, otherwise i wouldnt have realise those moons where there either. i find that the moon positions for that point and the top left have a lot of blue nebs, dominus should have sent his borg fleet up to that mining and used the blue nebs to increase his win.

So scout!   It's the area right next to your main.  Wouldn't YOU wanna know what's going on there?

    Those are not the protective nebulae.  Those blue nebulae are the damaging tetryon ones.  Dom could not have used those as he would suffer damage.  I do no generally put those blue nebulae into my maps as they are just too powerful for Borg players.

were they tetryon? i never actually went in them so i didnt know lol. thanks for the correction.

i dont really like the blue borg helping nebs either. swings and roundabouts is an odd map that places the moons inside those nebulae, meaning miners have no shields ever. so borg mining isnt affected and borg detectors are super useful at harassing in lower numbers than is usually necessary.

Woot! First 3.1.2 replay! Folks were a little just dorking around/a little of actually playing so don't expect too much, but still a good game.

hey yandonman,
how about joining with DN and doing FO 3.1.2 podcast about the new balance and stuff. personally I would love to hear urs & DN's opinion about the patch so far.
its just an idea dont kill me for it

Why does all the good games happen on the one VPN I can't use? I can tell this must've been on tunngle. If people still have wippien it'd be nice for another game.

oh Yando.... could you by chance tell me the limits on videos? Is the 10 min limit just there to help reduce large uploads? Or is it just requested? And the 2 GB limit I'd imagine would be per-video? If I am going to be recording I'd like to know the absolute rulz for YT.

Yeah, that last game was a blast.  Was really nice to have 6 good players going at it.  Too bad the server split.

Oh, and yandonman, Mal is pronounced like "pal", not "all".

That was a pretty interesting game!

  I have to say that Feds do start out a bit more slowly if you try and do too much tech at once.  I was trying to build from two yards and constantly expand.  Didn't work too well.  I also noticed that lacking the special weapons from not having my science station REALLY hurt against the cloaking races.  I didn't have the firepower to destroy the Rhienns without proxy torp.

  I think on a larger map the quick Warp-in strat is a good one.

The tunngle server did, because it split the server and disconnected a few people.
