no script shouldnt cause lag. it only decides whether to run a script, it doesnt interfere with the script i dont think.
maybe its causing a conflict with another addon.

i have AdPlus (which doesn't work -.-)
and illumitix to remove megavideo and other video time limits.
could one of them be the cause of the lag?
FYI I need illumitix to remove those damn video limits... -.-

i dont know, i dont use these sites with video limits, nor the addons to bypass limits.
i would guess that they are more likely to cause the issues though, as they probably interfere with the videos.
adplus i have never heard of.
i use adblock plus to get rid of youtube ads
noscript for pretty much everything else.
i have never had lag with this. i mainly use youtube.

unless you guys know of any other type of ad blocking
also wasn't google chrome suppose to be least secured cuz it's in beta and has high chance of attacks??
I modified my hosts file, now absolutely any ad of any kind (except for some in videos, tho even some of those get blocked) ends up appearing as an error "the webpage could not be displayed."
Chrome is actually well-developed now. There are four different channels to subscribe to for Chrome, a Stable one that is the most stable release of course, a Beta channel that is a little less stable, a Dev channel that is updated more often and is like an alpha, and finally the canary channel which is for finding major bugs and vulnerabilities (canaries in coal mines, used as gas level indicators since they would die if natural gas was in the air.)

Dircome wrote:Ok five reasons that i like chrome that isnt related to speed. hmm
1. Chrome is an html 5 complaint browser, which give me more options as a web developer. As a user it has built in video and audio tags, that means that websites how have another option besides flash.
good point
2. Chrome has a very robust set of developer tools which i have used to help discover errors in my html code.
still not close to ff imho
3. Its made by Google not Microsoft
4. Since its not as common of a browser it generally doesnt get hacked by virus as much.![]()
5. The way that you can drag out a tab to create a new window is very nice (note i know that this isnt unique to chrome)
personal preference
6. I prefer the way that incognito browsing is handled in chrome as opposed to the way its implemented in firefox and IE( I gave 6 points because point 3 is kinda weak)
me too
anyway, i can write the same thing about ff

i wont comment about ff because i had the pleasure of developing for ie6

There is a good way of testing the web standards that are required to run in normal conditions on a web browser.
You can test your browser to see if it's able to run optimal these web standards:
