If you have a Premonition Class model and know how to do FO-style wireframes and odf's, it should be possible.

Since you're new to the forums I think you should be directed here:

The Main Page - The Hitchhiker's Guide to Fleet Operations

This is the guide that's been set up to help a player who's new to FleetOps get acquainted with the new way that it works.  Give it a readsies!  :D

On the subject:  has there been a request to have certain weapons not target fighters first?  I know Dom and I came across that with the Leahval's Meta-Disruptor, but turrets, Starbases, and any other weapon that is non-targetable will waste their precious firepower on stupid Fighters.

Maybe make the Fighters a little different in the value of attractiveness?  :D

Metaphasic Disrupter is being changed to targettable at some point - the other weapons I most definitely agree need some change. Either fighters, or the carriers being made weaker some way to compensate - or having some sort of work around so that special weapons don't target them first!

Almost positive there is a value in the ship's ODF that gives it an intrinsic "weight" in terms of what order it gets targeted.  A1 at least had that but I haven't really delved far into these ODF's.  Pretty sure it's like "shotvalue=1(or 2, or 3...)".

Something like that.  I've heard Optec say it's based on hp though and he would know better.

You mean intrinsicvalue? That is in everything and almost all are set to 1 with no variation at all (except 0 for fighters).

I'm sure it goes by defensive value, specifically.

Aha that's why.

I'm sure Optec would already have thought of it, but as I recall in A1 the intrinsic value is what mandated the first target.  The lower the value, the more frequently it would be targeted.

I think he's wishing that if he does have/if he did have/if he were to have/were to with have/whither the who have/ a wife, that she'd play Fleet Ops with him too

I think he was besmirching your wife's honor and now you have no recourse but to take a white glove, slap him across the face, and challenge him to a duel.  You should meet at the dueling field promptly at noon, stand with your backs facing one another, and fire after 10 paces.

My advice:  Aim for the heart.  You only get one shot.

How could I have possibly misread that? I'm so sorry. Mal, you are absolutely right

Personally I think he was saying that a wife that good can't possibly be real, therefore I agree with mal.  a Gentlemen's duel would be perfect.  :dead:  Though personally I would wate until hes online, and stab him in the back.  IMHO ^-^

Though now that I think of it, in his defence, it could have been a typing mistake.  he could have meant it this way

Riker wrote:My Wife and I have been playing a few games as of late and have noticed that the [Ctrl+Shift+#] function randomly will not work. It seems to have been corrected in the 3.1.1 patch for the most part, but occasionally it will not work. When this bug occurs it acts just as before in 3.1.0. I don't have much more information to give other than that it has only happened with warp-ins.

Hope this helps.

I have an update on this issue: It only seems to affect group 1 (Ctrl+Shift+1) when adding Warp-Ins. I'll keep posting as we trouble shoot more.

We just finished 2 more games where this bug only affected group 1 (Ctrl+Shift+1). Anyone else having this problem?

Hm, so far I haven't had any problems with its functionality. Could you described exactly the steps you took with the fleet in question - I'd like to try to replicate it, the more the merrier  :sweatdrop:

Sorry to double post,

When you switch a player into "AI Takeover" all the players ships do a mad dash - which is fine - but no more are produced (and no more stations etc) and the AI goes dead for all practical purposes.  :sweatdrop:
